What temperature can a 100 gram horse rug handle?

How much a rug with 100 grams of filling warms your horse is very difficult to answer. There are several different factors that weigh in such as:

Is the horse in a cold or warm stable?
Do you have a horse that gets cold easily?
Are you planning to clip your horse?
How tough is the horse's training schedule?

Just like us humans, all horses are different - some freeze more than others and therefore wear more clothes. Try to get to know your horse and put a hand inside the rug when the horse has been wearing it for a few hours - does the horse feel warm or is it a little chilly?

If you are uncertain, a so-called liner system is a good solution - that is, rug that can be combined with each other. If you have a 100 gram rug, you can put on a turnout rug on top, either with or without filling.
