Hoof Boots
You can protect the horse's hooves against blows and strikes by using boots. Common models are in rubber with Velcro, but there are also variants in leather and neoprene. Here you will also find weight boots for Icelandic horses.
Protect the horse's hooves with boots
With boots, you can protect the horse's hooves when riding or training. Boots can be used on all four hooves, only two or maybe only one e.g. if the horse has an injury. When boots are used, the risk of injuries from blows and trampling on heel bulbs and hooves is reduced, and you can avoid e.g. injuries and loose shoes.
The most common type of boots is fastened around the horse's ankle joint and protects the hoof walls and heel bulbs. There are also boots that cover the entire hoof, including the underside. They are called barefoot boots, and can be used e.g. when hiking on horses with sensitive hooves, or temporarily on horses with a missing shoe.
Boots in different sizes and models for horses and ponies can be found here at Petster. We have models of well-known brands, and the range is also expanded regularly!
