Halters - A fundamental part of horse equipment

A halter is a simple but important part of the horse's equipment. With a halter and lead rope you can easily move the horse between stable and pasture, or tie it up in a trailer or by a post.

There are rope halters that you tie and halters with buckles or carabiner hooks - use what suits you and your horse best. Halters are available in many colors, patterns and with or without embellishments such as rhinestones, glitter, rivets, reflective bands and contrast seams. Common materials are nylon, leather, nylon rope and cotton fabric.

Remember not to have hooks or anything else near the opening of the box door if the horse is left alone with a halter on, as there is a risk that it will get stuck. Always keep the horse under supervision when it is tied up with a halter!
