The size is as important to both clothes, shoes cages and beds. For the animal's comfort and well being. An animal should never feel too tight clothes, shoes crowd or a cage that you can not move.

Follow the guidelines below carefully to ensure the correct size.
If you are unsure do not hesitate to contact us, we will help you be happy to find the right size. When you contact us, it helps if you have the dimensions of your pet, then it is extremely difficult for us to ensure a size based on race or only estimated measurements.

Make sure that you make the difference if you are buying a dog coat or a dog hoodie, T-shirt. Dog coats and Dog overalls are the only garmint that should measure all the way back to the root of the tail. Hoodies, sweaters and T-Shirts are the chest measurement the most important. Make sure that you add at least 5-10 cm for small dogs around the chest and 10-15 cm for larger breeds.

Clothing

Is it enough to just go after back dimensions ? No, unfortunately not.

On jackets, sweaters and other garments with sleeves is the bust most important. Always add a amtal centimeters extra on the animal's chest circumference (Not waist ) see below.
Only clothing that covers , coveralls and some vests goes all the way back to the tail.

Back length is measured from the withers to the tail. Importantly, the dog stands in the position ( back straight ) . Back length may differ at other angles. Remember that covers and coveralls shall have dimensions that extend back to the tail. While t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies breast dimensions and neck that are the crucial dimensions of what size you choose. This is because they do not go all the way back to the tail.

Neck circumference is measured at the bottom ( where the neck is widest , almost back. Garment neckline should be at least 4 - 10 cm larger than the circumference .

Chest circumference the MOST IMPORTANT: Measure around the dog's chest (widest point) garment chest measurement must always be at least 7 -10 cm ( small breeds ) - 10 - 15 cm ( larger breeds) cm wider than the chest circumference . Long / thick hair may need more space. The dog should be able to move freely without the garment tight.

Especially important to consider when buying overalls

1. Back length is measured from the withers to the tail while the dog stands in the position (not from the collar).

2nd Neck circumference is measured where the dog's neck, the neck root. Over Allen's neck opening may be larger than the neck circumference before it can be adjusted so that it fits tighter.

3rd Chest measurement around your dog's chest where it is highest, behind the front legs. For overall must provide sufficient freedom of movement must overalls chest circumference be 5-20 cm larger.

4th Their length is measured from the thoracic lower part of the leg along the inside of the ankle. The length is right in front legs should reach to the forearm.

Note If overalls are designed for a long-haired dog to protect the coat may legs be longer than stated above. In this case, however, the overall used when the dog is under surveillance.

Waist
is measured around the dog's waist where it is narrowest (front legs) This measurement is rarely shown on dog clothes, but such Hurtta have this on their overalls. Please make sure that
you measure your pet thoroughly. Raincoats, overalls and blankets are the only clothing that should go all the way to the beginning of the tail. T-shirts, sweaters and jackets is not suppose to go all the way. There it is essential that the the chest and neck measurements are accurate with 2" extra for small pets and 4"- 6" for larger animals.

Front leg length is measured on the inside from the chest down to the ankle. The garment front legs should be shorter than the dog's inner dimensions. (The garment length is right when it goes to the forearm.)

Back legs length is measured along the inner edge of the hind legs down to the hocks. (Garment length is correct when it goes into hock.)

Important to remember
Chest measurement is always the most important to adapt the selected size for. Clothing made of cotton always shrinks a bit in the wash. Choose never a size that is on the border. It is better that the dog has a few extra centimeters benefit, so the garment fits comfortably and does not affect the freedom of movement.

Footwear

Important measurements paws thoroughly.

The dog's claws should preferably be shorn before measurements are taken. Measure from the back of the foot to the ball as pointing the way out. The dog's claws, you must also reckon with, as this can differ greatly from dog to dog. Put the dog on a paper and draw around the paw. Or set it in a bowl with flour, snow or sand. Then measure more accurately based on the template. Shoes should never be exact in dimensions, but with no / few mm to the settlement at the forefront. Is the dog's paw measurement between two sizes, you should always choose the larger size.

Never guess a shoe size without measuring carefully!

If you are unsure of the selected size, so choose the one you think and then type in your dog's paw size at checkout (contact details), so we check this before delivery.

Hats & Caps

Perfect fit for hats and caps, you will get by measuring the dog's head from the forehead to the back of the skull (length). The width is measured between the ears. If it only stands a measure indicating the garment, it is estimated that in the long run.

Cages/Bags

The cage should fit the dog's size, not just the car or other transport medel.Ett animals who travel frequently or long distances in a too small cage, the animal can have huge problems with pain in the back and joints.

Measure the animal from the withers and bottom of the foot bottom.
And from the top of the head (between ears) to the tail.
Then add 10-13 cm to each measurement to ensure adequate size of the cage.

For bags please use the same method, but here you only need 5-10 cm in margin
in lenght and 5-8 cm in height

Dog Beds & Mattresses

Measure the dog when it is lying down in a comfortable position from the tail up nose tip. Then add 20 to 30 cm depending on size of dog to get the bed right length.

Muzzles

 Adjustable No-Bark/No-Bite Comfort Muzzles

Open Ended Fabric Muzzles:

(Measure just above the nose.)

1. Measure the circumference midway between the tip of the nose and eyes. Add 5 cm for small/medium breeds and 8 cm for large breeds.

2. Measure neck size at base of neck, just under the ears.

3. Measure jaw length from the nose to the throat.

How humans are measured and how the measurements are interpreted

Waist circumference is measured horizontally from the narrowest point of the waist.

The hip circumference is measured around the widest part of the hip.

The length of the pant leg is measured at the inside of the foot, from the branch to the desired length of the leg.

Breast circumference (s) is measured horizontally from the highest point of the breast.

The length of the garment refers to the dimension from the neck vertically down to the hem.

Sleeve measurements are taken from the root of the neck, via the shoulder to the wrist.
