Cat spews hairballs - what can I do?

When cats are about to wash, they lick their fur which means they get some hair. In normal cases, hair passes through the cat's stomach and intestine without any problems. But during the periods when the cat is shedding more, or for long-haired cats, hairballs in the stomach and intestines can accumulate and create problems. These hairballs then usually spice up the cat, but it may happen that they move down into the digestive system and thus cause constipation.

But what can be done to help the cat with this? There are a few different tricks to help the cat with this, two of which are cat grass or malt. Cat grass is grass that the cat eats that facilitates digestion and minimizes the number of hairballs in the cat's stomach. Malt is something that helps your cat dissolve hairballs and can come in many different forms - in sweets or a soft paste. This can also be given for preventive purposes.
