"Obsidian" outdoor blanket is a classic black, extremely elegant and multifunctional outdoor cover with associated throat - designed to maximize freedom of movement and minimize the risk of pressure and scab. The anatomical fit follows the contours of the horse and a soft pressure -absorbing foam lightly lifts the blanket over the mane for increased comfort.
Both the quilt and the neck are made of a water-repellent material (5000mm-3000gsm) with very good breathable properties. The lining consists of a woven textile whose smooth surface counteracts scabies. The WELLTEX® technology in the material strongly reflects the horse's body heat in the form of infrared energy (FIR).
"Obsidian" sweeps a large part of the horse's body in Welltex®, which stimulates blood circulation in the large muscle groups, increases the horse's well -being and can promote softness and mobility in muscles and joints. The effect can also help relieve problems with stiffness, inflammation and osteoarthritis.
The blanket is kept effectively in place using double bow buckles, V-front snap, crossbars under the stomach and a plastic covered tail strap with D-rings. The design makes it fit perfectly with Back on Track's Rhyolite Liner and other liners.
The black blanket and the associated neck protection are provided with reflex piping for increased visibility and safety.
"Obsidian" is delivered in a large, steady bag of straps, which can be reused such as hay bag.
The outdoor cover is available in three variants with different thicknesses: the basic version without filling, a slightly thicker version with 150 g filling and a warm version with 300 g filling, to meet the requirements for cold winter weather.
