Disinfect the hole or crack thoroughly and around the damaged area.Form the adhesive with clean hands and push into the cavity until you have a tight plug for best results.
The hoof paste is very hard when it is in the jar but softens in your hands as you shape it.
With Keratex Hoof Putty, holes in the horse's soles can be repaired and sealed, so that the horse can be released into the pasture. It is very useful if the horse has cracks or after a hoof abscess.
Keratex Hoof Putty is a semi-permanent wax that seals and stabilizes the hoof crack and prevents dirt and mud from getting stuck in the hole.
The hoof paste/wax disinfects which makes it a perfect aid for recovery after pressure, hoof abscess and cavities.
