Benefits of massage include:• Helps maintain healthy blood and lymph circulation.
• Prepares muscles for exercise.
• Soothes tired muscles.
• Supports post-exercise recovery.
• Promotes relaxation.
Six massage motors are positioned in the target areas for horses and ponies. There are two on each side of the withers, two in the middle of the pad, and an additional two behind the saddle area. The precise design of the massage pad facilitates the spread of the massage along the back muscles.
Heat• Heat is non-invasive, gentle, and well-accepted with many associated benefits, including:
• Maintaining good oxygen supply to the muscles.
• Encouraging muscle relaxation.
• Increased flexibility and elasticity of the tissue.
The heating element is located in the rear third of the massage pad and warms a gel pad, which in turn warms the horse. This ensures that the heat is evenly distributed and consistent. It also acts as a safety barrier. This part of the massage pad also has a sensor to ensure that the horse does not overheat, especially when using the pad in warmer weather or after exercise when the horse is naturally warm.
