This is a hackamore from Shires - Blenheim, leather. The legs are 17cm and stainless. Both the nose strap and the jaw strap can be adjusted in size, which means that you can adapt it to the horse's range.
The nose plate has a soft lint to sit comfortably on the horse.
Hackamore gives a leverage effect through a pressure on the bridge of the nose and lower jaw and can therefore be quite sharp even though there is no bite in the mouth. It is therefore good if it is used by experienced riders.
It can also be used if you have a horse with an injury in the mouth in the form of, for example, sores and therefore need to rest your mouth from having bitten.
