Are you looking for a mouth-friendly bit for your horse? DUO bits are perfect. The mouthpiece is made of soft, flexible plastic and is very comfortable in the horse’s mouth.

This eggbutt bit can be used either as a straight mullen mouth bit or as a mullen mouth bit with slight tongue relief – depending on what suits you and your horse best. The thickened bit rings promote a stable and quiet position in the mouth.

DUO bits have a steel core for maximum strength and safety. They are made from food-safe, solvent-free materials and contain no plasticisers. Highest quality – for your horse’s health.

How do I take care of my plastic bits?

Plastic bits, or bits with plastic components, should also be washed regularly and checked for wear. Indentations caused by contact with the teeth can, for example, create sharp edges – especially on plastic bits – which may injure the horse.

Compared to metal bits, plastic bits are significantly softer and should not come into contact with the horse’s teeth. DUO bits from SPRENGER are made of flexible white plastic material that is food-safe, solvent-free, and contains no plasticisers. All SPRENGER DUO bits have a steel core, preventing them from being bitten through. However, there is no guarantee against bite or wear marks on the surface.
