Dental Bites are an easy way to promote your dog's oral health. The delicious little pieces contain PlaqueOff® which is an internationally patented natural product that counteracts tartar and plaque on the tooth surface. The active substance is the natural seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum. When the algae is broken down in the intestine, active components are released that can reach the saliva and the oral cavity.
Studies have shown that the already existing tartar becomes porous and easy to remove and that not as much new tartar is formed at all. It is known that the composition of saliva can help to repel the bacteria that cause tartar and plaque. The studies that have been done have shown results already after 4 weeks of use and that the results improve with regular use.
