Uhip’s history

Autumn 2010. Ulrika Falkman accidentally puts on her cover skirt backwards. The zippers that were supposed to be positioned on the sides of the skirt were now positioned in the front and back. She realized that it was possible to ride in it and that it also kept her legs warm at the same time…! A prototype was sewn up and one year later the first delivery was shipped out. Two other successful products were launched shortly thereafter – the riding jacket with a foldable hand warmer as well as the elegant and warm riding coat with the high vent in the back. Uhip exploded on social media as well as regular media.

Since then, one of Uhip’s main cores has been to create riding wear that focuses on making equestrians’ daily lives easier. Riding wear shouldn’t hinder the rider’s movements with uncomfortable materials or designs. Smart features, weatherproof, high-quality material with a stylish finish is what characterizes riding wear by Uhip.

365

365 stands for the number of days in a year and consists of Uhip’s most lightweight riding jackets, riding vests, riding coats, winter coats, riding skirts and cover skirts which you can use all year round. You can wear all of these garments separately or as a mid-layer under a warmer shell jacket during colder days. Available in different models and sizes for the whole family.

365 Hybrid

These garments are, just like the 365 collection, lightweight with nice fit and usable all year round, but with a focus on breathability and freedom of movement. Just like the other 365 garments you can use them separately or as a mid-layer under a warmer jacket during winter. Offers good protection against both rain and wind. Available in riding jackets and riding vests from a range of colors for both women, men and kids.

Bamboo

Maybe you can already tell from the name, but these lightweight and soft riding jumpers are made of… bamboo! An Eco-friendly material with several benefitting properties: high breathability, extremely comfortable, cool during hot days and warm during cold days, hypoallergenic – perfect for anyone with sensitive skin, natural UV protection and wrinkle-free. Due to its high breathability it’s perfect for both equestrian activities as well as the gym. Available in long and short-sleeved shirts in a range of colors, plus caps.

Functional pants

Uhip’s stretchy functional pants in unisex models has a fit tailored to stable work when you want to prioritize freedom of movement. There’s also the Uhip Stable Zip Pant, equipped with zippers on the sides which makes it easy to pull over your regular riding breeches when going riding. It offers good protection against both rain and coldness – perfect for competitions in colder weather. The functional pants are available in a lighter model which fits well for spring and summer, as well as a warmer model for winter and autumn.

Ice

In the Ice collection you’ll find riding wear with a sporty look with the main focus of protecting the rider from both cold weather and rain. It’s especially designed to withstand the Icelandic climate and all of the garments come equipped with reflexes for maximum protection for both you and your horse. Due to the high amount of insulating material the fit is quite tight, but it gives you enough space to fit a mid-layer as well as the air needed to heat you up. Available in winter coats, winter jackets and thermal skirts for women and kids as well as a men’s jacket and a men’s winter coat.

Merino

Uhip loves wool, especially merino wool which is softer and more elastic than regular wool. And of course, they’ve dedicated a whole collection to it. The riding jumpers in this collection are both comfortable, functional and made of 100 % mulesing free merino wool from Europe. These garments can be both warm and cool depending on the weather, they have a natural UV protection and they are self-cleaning, odour resistant and antibacterial. Perfect for stable work, riding or the gym since they keep dry even during an intense workout. Available in riding jumpers in a range of models and sizes for both women and men, as well as caps and riding socks.

Nordic

Tired of cold winter days at the stables? In that case, you’ll love this collection as they keep you warm down to -15 degrees Celsius…! These riding garments are designed for a cold climate with the highest amount of insulation in all of Uhip’s riding wear. They even have a built-in protection against rain, even though they’re primarily to be used to stay warm during cold weather. You can’t get any warmer than with riding wear from Uhip’s Ice collection! And the best thing is – they are designed with an elegant and feminine look. Available in both long and short riding coats, riding jackets and riding skirts with a snug fit without being too tight.

Regular Sport

The perfect riding wear for any equestrian who wants to stay warm during rainy and windy weather. Lightweight rainwear with light padding and insulation, the perfect garments to combine with warmer shell garments. Available in rain coats, long raincoats and rain skirt for women, rain coat for men and rain coat for kids.

Riding tights

Trench

The collection for equestrians who are looking for trendy rainwear that offers good protection against both rain and wind. They’re comfortable, equipped with reflexes and extra pockets and offers a good amount of mobility and breathability. The trench coats have a two-way front zipper and a high back vent equipped with snap fasteners that makes it easy to open the coat to let it warm your legs while riding. The rain coats have stretchy wrist protectors with holes for the thumbs that offers both protection and warmth, as well as foldable sleeve cuffs.
